Situated along Grace Bay Beach’s 12 miles of soft white sands, the Grace Bay Club has long been a leader in luxury on Providenciales (Provo). The property made Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List in 2006 as it has for the past ten years.

As part of a $45 million expansion, the resort launched a children’s program, built a family pool, and debuted 38 one- to three-bedroom condominiums, or villas, each with a kitchen, deck, and living and dining rooms. The original 22 units in the hotel remain adult-only, as do the Anani Spa and Fitness Center, the hotel’s pool, and the Anacaona restaurant (ages 12 and older welcome). Families—and others—may dine at The Grill, a bistro-style restaurant. The estates, 22 three- and four-bedroom residences, are slated to open in 2008.

Why Families Love It:
Grace Bay is one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful stretches of sand alongside crystal clear turquoise water. Kids will be happy scuttling along the shore and building sandcastles. At Kids’ Town, children ages five to 13 enjoy such complimentary activities as soccer, pool games, kite building, and jewelry making, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday (a minimum of six children is required to run the program). In the Kids’ Town Play Room, a supervised space open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., kids can watch DVDs, paint, play with toys, and munch on homemade cookies. Ages four and younger are welcome to use the room with their parents.

In conjunction with Big Blue Unlimited outfitters, the children’s program takes participants off-property for eco-adventures, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. or from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kids kayak, snorkel, explore an iguana sanctuary, and hike and picnic at a former pirate cave. Excursions cost $85 for a 3.5-hour tour and $135 for a six-hour tour.

Special Events & Activities:
Watch for humpback whales on a boat trip, late January through early April.
