Perfectly situated on a rocky bluff overlooking Meads Bay and adjacent to a mile-long swath of gorgeous beachfront, the Malliouhana represents all that is good about the Caribbean resort experience. Fifty-three doubles, suites, and villas adorn the 25-acre property, a place large enough to retain an innovative, Michelin two-star chef but still maintain its intimate, relaxing vibe. A first-rate spa, incorporating Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and other Asian treatments, adds to the pampering.

Why Families Love It:
Malliouhana is one of the few luxury resorts on Anguilla to welcome kids all year round. And like the island, Malliouhana is best for beach-loving families with young grade- and pre-schoolers who'll be happy playing on the island's exquisite beaches. The island and the hotel also work well for older teens and twenty-somethings savoring good food, spa treatments, and lots of beach time.

Although there's no organized kids' program here, Malliouhana does have a complimentary, supervised beachfront, pirate-themed playground called the Children's Place. Action-loving youngsters will enjoy the water cannons, splash pools, and 60-foot waterslide, while a separate area with mini-spray fountains is perfect for tots aged two to five. A childcare counselor is on duty from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Kids also splash in the nearby pool that's conveniently located in front of Le Bistro Restaurant, an informal eatery serving pizza, macaroni and cheese, and other kid favorites.

Special Events & Activities:
With Malliouhana's Friends and Family package, book five nights in an ocean-view double room and get an additional ocean-view double for free. Contact the resort for dates and details.
