High Society
The best table in Amsterdam might be floating above it. Dinner in the Sky hoists a 22-seat table 150 feet off the ground, where diners eat while strapped into race-car seats. Serving lasts about 20 minutes, so there's no need for a Restroom in the Sky. $10,000 per eight-hour event; www.dinnerinthesky.com

Livestrong and Prosper
After selling 55 million bracelets, the Lance Armstrong Foundation came up with a novel idea for raising more cancer-research funds: useful products. Lance-philes can now go online with the LiveStrong laptop (www.amd.com/livestrong) to invest in the LiveStrong mutual fund (www.livestrongportfolios.com) and order LiveStrong dishes and mugs (www.chantal.com).

Boys Will Be Boys
Next time someone says you're too old to skateboard, tell them you suffer from psychological neoteny, the term English scientists at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne have given to Peter Pan Syndrome (the urge to stretch adolescence into midlife). If they have a cure, we ain't taking it.

XXXXXXXXXXL
Canada's entry for the mass-consumption-themed September 10–November 19 Venice Biennale of Architecture? A 40-by-87-foot fleece jacket called the Sweaterlodge. "It's symbolic of Canada," says project spokeswoman Miriam Blume. "We are a cold country, a friendly country, and also a wealthy country, because we can afford to make a Polarfleece sweater this size." www.sweaterlodge.ca

Key To Your Future
Unable to find employees among the island's rich retirees, Key West kayak company Lazy Dog Island Outfitters has turned its search for a D.O.G. (director of growth) into a national contest involving essays and, for ten finalists, an unspecified adventure contest. First prize: a $75,000 salary and free housing for a year. www.winajobinkeywest.com

Upright and Locked
The CyclePod gives bikers one more reason to feel superior after the morning commute. Each elegant hub secures eight bikes under a protective canopy. Want one for your office? At $7,100, they don't come cheap. But, then, neither does gas. www.cyclepods.co.uk
