Hard Rock Scotland
With 54,000 square feet of NATURAL ROCK CLIFFS in the Ratho Quarry and 27,000 square feet of INDOOR CLIMBING (which includes a 60-foot competition wall, overhangs, a BOULDERING CAVE, and a 90-foot tower with belay ledges), Scotland's new ADVENTURE CENTRE is, quite literally, rocking climbers' worlds. Located just two miles south of Edinburgh, the facility opened in December and is slated to host the British Bouldering Championships this fall. The $45 MILLION COMPLEX will also house the world's largest indoor aerial course (think zip lines and suspension ropes), the Deep Blue Scuba Diving School, a mountain-bike-skills course, the National Judo Academy, a health spa, lodge, café and lounge, and auditorium. Think of it as a giant PLAY PEN FOR THE HYPERACTIVE SET. Contact: 011-44-131-333-6333, www.adventurescotland.com
