What's the most overrated "exotic locale"?
Question: What's the most overrated "exotic locale"? (And why?)

Tim: David,

I suppose I'd have to say Bali. I'm talking about the Bali of the beaches and resorts. Pretty boring. Junkies shooting up in the sand. Balinese hawkers all over selling suntan lotion. Or the private beaches of the big resorts where you don't meet any Balinese not engaged in tourism.

The mountain villages, however, are fascinating.
