Dana Gleason, Pack Man
Dana Gleason answers your questions

The buzz
This self-described "roly-poly, fun-loving guy" revolutionized the way people carry things on their backs. With Dana Gleason at the helm, Dana Design has developed a relentless habit of introducing packs so innovative the competition poaches their features reflexively. From plastic framesheets to movable sternum straps to those tongue-like carrying flaps, if it works and it's on a pack there's a good chance the "Chief Bottle Washer" (his actual title) of Dana Design thought of it.

What's new
With sales strong and new plants in Livingston and Lewistown, Montana, the company's future never looked rosier. Now, Gleason's challenges include continual innovation while lowering costs--and saving enough time for his roles as husband, father, and Cub Scout leader.
