The buzz
He's the 71-year-old Schuss Flick King who showed the masses how to daydream about skiing. Each season since 1949, skiers have worked themselves into pre-snow frenzies watching his plotless but spectacular snow sport movies. The films are now produced by Miller's son Kurt and a partner, but they still appear under Warren's imprimatur, and he still writes his own copy. And, of
course, he still narrates, his voice-over sounding eerily like your own Uncle Fred showing slides. He'll continue to do so "as long as the audience wants it, and as long as my kid wants to pay me."
What's new
This ski season saw the release of Miller's 46th annual movie, Endless Winter (see video clips), and the publication of his first book, Ski Fever! (see slide
show), an action-packed, coffee-table collection of ski stories and photography.
Miller answers your questions
The king of ski films reveals all: how to get in a movie, why he avoids the bumps, how to break into the business, and, of course, where to buy his stuff.
