How do I figure the correct frame size for a cyclocross bike? Question: Being a roadie interested in getting into cyclocross, how do I figure out the correct frame size? I know it's smaller than a road bike for easier stepover but how much?

Jan: A cross frame is going to have a few centimeters shorter seat tube. You want to have a few centimeters of clearance when you stand over the top tube. It is important to have good reach to your drops when you are on the saddle. A cross frame will usually have a higher bottom bracket, so keep that in mind when choosing a frame. Check
with your local Trek dealer about the 1997 UAV II frame.
