Question: I am a freshman at Appalachian State University and I love to mountain bike. The area around Boone is great for it until the snow comes. What is the best way to outfit a bike for snowy conditions?

Jan: It is more important to make sure you are dressed properly for being able to enjoy riding in those snowy conditions. Wider tires are a good idea, along with riding a lower tire pressure. I also put on a mud catcher on my down tube. This helps keep the slop from soaking my feet.
