Style: Bundle Up
Winter Recess
New-school technical pieces look after the serious business of snowbound fun, while playing nice with the classics of cold-weather style

(Photograph by Jeff Lipsky)

THE CORE: On him, the wool-and-leather ARMO jacket ($1,200) from RLX BY RALPH LAUREN fits snug underneath a parka; combine VICTORINOX's LOCH DOWN jacket ($225) and dressy OSLO pants ($155), made from water- and wind-resistant nylon soft-shell material, for head-to-toe warmth; BONFIRE's OPTIC 3-IN-1 gloves ($89) wrap a waterproof-breathable polyester-insulated shell around a separate leather liner suited for tactical maneuvers. On her, SIERRA DESIGNS' FORM ergonomically cut ski pants ($120) fit the body's curves.
THE CASUAL: On him, polyester beanie ($25) by SIERRA DESIGNS; wool ribbed sweater ($50) by THE NORTH FACE. On her, wool-and-rayon hat ($58) by BANANA REPUBLIC; lamb's-wool-and-faux-fur hoodie ($68) and reversible faux-fur-and-nylon vest ($68) by GAP; wool gloves, stylist's own.
