THE CORE: On her, SOREL CARIBOU boots ($100) are waterproof and lined with a removable felt liner to keep the fire lit in her feet. On him, the 500-fill down QUARTZ vest ($100) by SIERRA DESIGNS fits under a parka or over a burly sweater; BONFIRE's BALANCE nylon snowboarding pants ($170) insulate around the joints to help keep them warm, as do its OPTIC 3-IN-1 gloves ($89); HI-TEC's NOREASTER boots ($120) use lightweight EVA cushioning in the sole to add comfort.
THE CASUAL: On her, lamb's-wool hoodie ($68) and toggle jacket ($85) by GAP; denim jeans ($150) by DIESEL; wool gloves ($15) by SMARTWOOL; cashmere hat, model's own; vintage wool sweater, stylist's own. On him, faux-fur-lined hat ($88) by BANANA REPUBLIC; cotton dress shirt ($80) by VICTORINOX; lamb's-wool crewneck sweater ($158) by NAUTICA.
