A follow-up to its decidedly easy-to-paddle Remix series of river runners, Liquid Logic's new flatwater/whitewater hybrid XP targets beginners who plan on paddling everything from lakes to Class II. The largest XP is a foot longer than the original and an inch wider—39 inches at the roomy cockpit—for massive stability. Plus, it has the same outfitting found in Liquid Logic's playboats. But unlike those boats, this hybrid is especially adept on the flats, where it tracks fast and straight thanks to a retractable four-inch skeg. Our testers found that it blasted through sticky holes with little effort. Said one: "It's easiest when you sit there, do nothing, and just let the boat do the work." 9' and 10', 75 gallons and 105 gallons;
