Back in L.A., Farrah, Kate, and Jaclyn Were All Smiles

"We're not models on in-line skates," clarifies Katina Salafatinos. "We're speed skaters who do some modeling." A crucial distinction--at least as far as burglar Merado Velasquez is concerned. Salafatinos, a professional racer, and Andrea Franklin, an amateur, were on a photo shoot in Miami Beach last winter when they noticed Velasquez breaking into Salafatinos's red Mazda Miata. The women, along with a passing male cyclist, started after the burglar. Salafatinos chased Velasquez down a garbage-strewn alley, while her cohorts circled the block to cut him off. "The guy on the bike jumped him just as Andrea body-slammed him," recounts Salafatinos. "I ravaged him, then Andrea sat on him." Velasquez reportedly began crying as the posse recovered a beeper and $14 and then turned him over to the police. Says Salafatinos, "We actually felt kind of sorry for him."
