In what passes for a victory in America's anemic War on Drugs, Adidas has agreed to change the name of its new sneaker, "The Hemp." Made from the plant that produces marijuana, the shoe stirred up controversy earlier this year when former drug czar Lee Brown demanded a name change. It says the shoe will have a new name in 1997.
