Fat Tire Fund-Raiser
On June 2, the Volvic/Subaru Ride for the Wild--cosponsored by Outside and benefiting the World Wildlife Fund--lands in Castle Rock, Colorado. Riders practice low-impact techniques and try out the latest demos. (Later sites include Tiger

New Nubra
Later this summer, Geographic Expeditions will lead its first treks into India's Nubra Valley, on the China border, which opened to tourists in 1994. Using Bactrian camels as pack animals, trekkers will cover about 60 miles, crossing the 16,800-foot pass Digar La and visiting secluded twelfth-century monasteries.
