Best Mogul Run

"The BMT," Steamboat Springs, Colorado


Why would one of the top women's mogul skiers in the U.S. train at Steamboat? "Duh," says Ann Battelle, fifth-place finisher on the World Cup circuit last year, of Nelson's Run and White Out, slopes that together form what's known locally as the Bumpers' Migration Trail. "The bumps are soft and the snow is plentiful." Of course, killer bumps require more than God's grace. So enter Steamboat's larger-than-average corps of talented mogul-happy locals. They keep the bumps consistent and oh so shapely.
