The Winner's Circle
Specialized Bike Giveaway and Photo Contest

Over the last two months almost 9,000 entries poured in for the Specialized Epic FSR Sweepstakes and photo contest. So, the question on everyone's lips: Who won the bike? The lucky guy is 58-year-old Ed Purdy, a marketing manager for NC State. Ed's favorite sports are running and skiing. He's currently a casual mountain biker, but once he gets his new bike he plans to become more active in the sport.

"The first thing I'll do with my bike is take a spin through the neighborhood and show it off for everybody. Then I'll take a test run on my favorite trail. I usually run it, so it'll be interesting to take the bike instead," he says. "I'm thrilled to death. What a nice Christmas present."

We also received hundreds of images for the photo contest, and it was hard work choosing just ten winners to receive the Specialized Telluride helmets. The lucky shutterbugs are:

Gregory Luck, Ray Schmidt, Matt Jordan, Dan Murbarger, Chris Mace-McLatchie, Christina Bonetti, Stephanie Striefel, Marc Hoffmeister, Devin Miroy, and Bruce Dean, whose hilarious photo stretched the definition of "exotic places," but was creative enough to merit a prize.

Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry to the Specialized contest. The winning photos are displayed in an online gallery. Click here to view it.
