Outside Announces Its Best Trips of 2005

Santa Fe, NM, January 10, 2005Outside magazine has announced its list of 2005's Best Trips in the February issue, which hits newsstands on January 11. Outside's travel experts investigated outfitters and vacation destinations from around the world, choosing the best dream adventures for active travelers.

"We compiled an exciting variety of trips and destinations for any active lifestyle enthusiast," said Leslie Weeden, Outside's travel director. "We have itineraries and destinations for every type of traveler. The hardest part will be deciding which trip to choose."

Whether fantasizing about sea-kayaking through the Solomon Islands, fly-fishing the Canadian Rockies, or exploring five South American countries via private plane, the Best Trips 2005 is the ultimate guide for a unique and thrilling active vacation. The list details each trip's itinerary, difficulty level, price, outfitter information, and best time to travel. Outside's editors even report the high and low points of each trip.

No matter what the vacation fantasy, Outside's Trip of the Year winners are sure to fulfill anyone's dream adventure. The overall winner for Trip of the Year is listed below, along with the winner for each of the nine geographic regions.
