 Expedition Journal--July 27Vanessa BacherWe hiked about nine miles, trekking through tundra, bushwhacking through forest, climbing mountains, and crossing rivers. Although that day was the longest hiking day of our backpacking section, it seemed to be the smoothest day for us. I think part of that had to do with the fact that the day before was incredibly difficult because we had to climb very steep mountains in a treacherous storm.
